SANZA Teaching Agency is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets to recruit an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide high-quality PPA cover across the school. Starting in September 2026, this part-time position offers three days of work each week (Wednesday to Friday) and is expected to continue for the entire academic year.
About the Role
As the school's dedicated PPA Cover HLTA, you'll teach pre-planned lessons across a range of primary year groups, ensuring pupils continue to receive engaging, high-quality learning while class teachers have their allocated planning and preparation time. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys the variety of working with different classes while becoming a valued member of one supportive school community.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering well-prepared lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
- Creating a positive, purposeful learning environment
- Managing behaviour confidently and consistently
- Supporting pupils to remain engaged and make progress
- Working closely with teachers and school leaders to ensure continuity across the curriculum

The successful candidate will have:
- HLTA status or significant experience leading whole-class learning within a primary school
- Confidence teaching across a range of primary age groups
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- A flexible, organised and proactive approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
