A high-performing and friendly primary school in Harrow is looking for a dynamic and committed Teaching Assistant to join their team from January until July, with the strong possibility of the role becoming permanent. This is a general classroom support position split across Year 3 and Year 5, working with pupils across the curriculum and helping to maintain an engaging and purposeful learning environment.
The Role
- Provide general classroom support in Year 3 and Year 5, helping pupils fully engage in lessons
- Work with children 1:1 or in small groups to reinforce learning and support progress
- Assist with classroom activities, preparation of resources, and behaviour support
- Supervise pupils during break and lunch times
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere that enables all learners to thrive
- Work collaboratively with class teachers, support staff, and school leaders
The Ideal Candidate
- Has experience working with primary-aged children
- Is enthusiastic, proactive, and adaptable
- Has strong communication skills and enjoys working as part of a team
- Can confidently support learning in Key Stage 2
- Is dedicated to helping children achieve their best academically and socially
