Daily Rate - Β£95

SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Stoke Newington, Hackney, for an experienced and nurturing SEND Teaching Assistant to start in Spring 2, with the potential for the role to continue longer term.

This role involves providing additional, targeted support to two Year 5 pupils with additional needs. Both pupils are generally confident learners and engage positively in their learning. One pupil would benefit from structured confidence-building support in maths.

The position would particularly suit an experienced Teaching Assistant who is keen to deepen their knowledge and expertise in working with pupils who present with challenging behaviours and emotional needs.

The Role:

  • Providing in-class and small-group academic support
  • Delivering targeted maths confidence-building sessions
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Building strong, trusting relationships
  • Using structured one-to-one games and motivational reward systems
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has strong experience supporting children with SEND
  • Is calm, patient and emotionally intelligent
  • Has experience managing or supporting challenging behaviours
  • Can use positive reinforcement and engaging strategies effectively
  • Is confident working with Upper KS2 pupils
  • Is reflective and eager to develop professionally
