SANZA Teaching Agency are working with an independent school in Barking & Dagenham. The school specialises in educating young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

They are seeking a calm, nurturing English teacher for KS3 & KS4 to join their team.

You must have experience teaching KS3 & KS4 GCSE English. The school is open to applications from qualified or unqualified teachers (not holding QTS).

  • Be able to commit to a full-time role - these students are vulnerable and need consistency.
  • Have a calm demeanour, but be firm and able to assert clear boundaries.
  • Have a genuine interest in pastoral care and supporting vulnerable young people.

This position would suit a teacher with experience in mainstream settings but has a keen interest in transitioning over to working within (SEMH) Social, Emotional, Mental Health.
