Sanza Teaching Agency is working with a well‑established independent primary school in Kensington and Chelsea to find a dedicated Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to support Year 6 pupils in preparation for their SATs. You will deliver targeted support in Maths, Reading and SPaG, helping pupils build confidence, strengthen key skills and achieve their best during this important stage of their learning. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑resourced independent school with engaged pupils and a supportive staff team – with the possibility of an extended placement for the right fit.

The Role

  • Assist the Year 6 teacher with SATs preparation in Maths, Reading and SPaG
  • Deliver small‑group and one‑to‑one support sessions focused on core literacy and numeracy skills
  • Support pupils during revision activities and practice assessments
  • Provide in‑class support during lessons and independent learning tasks
  • Help identify pupils who may benefit from additional academic support
  • Encourage pupil confidence, focus and engagement during lessons
  • Monitor progress and share observations with the class teacher

Who We’re Looking For

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Tutor or similar role is desirable
  • Graduates interested in teaching or educational psychology are encouraged to apply
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils
  • A proactive, organised and supportive approach
  • Understanding of school safeguarding expectations
  • Passion for supporting children in reaching their potential
