Sanza are working in partnership with a Hospital School in Bromley which is a hospital for mental health needs for children and young people aged 11 - 16 years who are inpatients and day patients. All students have mental health needs.

Job Role: Teacher - Secondary - KS3 - KS4

Salary: MPS2-UPS

Contract: 5 days per week

Location: Beckenham, Bromley

Start Date: Feb 2026 or July 2026

Responsibilities

  • Teach Secondary in either Maths (must have recent teaching experience teaching Maths) within a hospital school.
  • Teach 1:1 on the wards or in the main classroom depending on numbers for the day.
  • Liaise with hospital ward staff to ensure the wellbeing of students.
  • Work within an Ofsted Outstanding Hospital School environment.
  • Support pupils aged 11 - 16 who are patients of the hospital.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Previous UK experience in a secondary setting – mainstream or SEN
  • Can work well in a team and show initiative
  • Not required to have worked with mental health needs but SEN experience would be ideal; subject experience is more important
  • An upbeat personality with a positive attitude
