Role SummaryAs SENCO, you will lead and coordinate SEND provision across the setting, ensuring children with additional needs receive the appropriate support and interventions. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage SEND provision across the Early Years Centre.
- Identify, assess and monitor children with additional needs.
- Develop and review Support Plans and SEND documentation.
- Work collaboratively with families, staff and external agencies.
- Provide guidance and training to colleagues on inclusive practice.
- Coordinate referrals and liaise with specialist services.
- Ensure SEND provision meets statutory requirements and best practice.
Candidate RequirementsTo be considered for this position, you should:
- Have previous experience as a SENCO or within a SEND leadership role.
- Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or be working towards it, or have significant relevant SEND leadership experience. xgikmsk
