Responsibilities
- The candidate will excel at creating and closing new opportunities.
- By using a consultative approach to selling, this person will use their expertise to identify and qualify leads, leading to sales opportunities with both new and existing customers.
- Identify, develop, and implement effective sales plans, action plans and strategies.
- Meet or exceed defined sales targets.
- Maintain open communication and collaborate with internal cross-functional partners, including product, sales planning, etc. to maximize revenue.
- Directly contribute to the product development process through active participation in product reviews by providing market & client insights.
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
- Develop strategic relationships with key decision-makers of dealers and customers.
- Develop leads and build the pipeline.
- Negotiate pricing, prepare proposals and close sale.
- Partner with the account management team to service, maintain and grow current clients.
- Sales payment collection.
- Successfully create business from new and existing customer accounts.
- Build rapport and establish long term relationships with customers.
Qualifications & Experience
- Solid sales experience with construction machinery (ideally excavators).
- Solid quota carrying sales experience.
- Experience and working knowledge of CRM systems.
- Demonstrable track record of over-achieving quota.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A great work ethic.
