Due to fast growing business in UK, currently we look for a workshop engineer to join our young and friendly team, following are details,
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Inspecting machines when they arrive in the country to ensure the equipment meets the correct quality standards and accurately recording information of defects.
- Carryout visual inspections, take photos, complete relevant paperwork and update on the CRM system,
- Carry out monthly stock inspections if machines are stored in the yard for set periods of time.
- Control the machine inspection tracker sheet.
- Keep all machines and attachments in the correct locations in a tidy manner.
- Fit DataTag kits to machines and ensure all paperwork is complete and submitted to process
Requirements for the role:
- Most importantly is an eye for detail and a customer focussed approach to quality
- Basic knowledge of Excel / Word programmes and the ability to update the inhouse CRM system
- Being able to complete paperwork accurately.
- Experience working with Heavy Plant equipment with some mechanical knowledge.
- Being able to operate excavators, Telehandlers, Wheeled loading shovels in a safe manner is desirable although training will be given.
- Demonstrated self-starter with strong initiative skills and a can-do positive attitude; the ability to work autonomously.
- Ability to work effectively in a team when required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of carrying out risk assessments and health & safety knowledge within the workplace is desirable.
- A clean DBS check will be required due to machine DataTag security rules
