Due to fast growing business in the UK, we are currently looking for an experienced Lead Technical Support Engineer to join our young and friendly team.
Key responsibilities and duties:- Provide technical assistance to the dealer network service teams remotely or in person when required, ensuring full support until completion.
- Be responsible for the allocation of technical response resource and the timely closure of all dealer requests.
- Be responsible for updating technical assistance requests and logs.
- Provide technical training and product updates to dealer service engineers.
- Create technical bulletins and monitor closure throughout the dealer network.
- Assist with the NPI process for Aftermarket functions within SANY UK.
- Review Add/Delete lists & compile recommended parts lists for NPI projects.
- Review Operator & Maintenance manuals prior to new product release.
- Review Hydraulic and Electrical schematics.
- Assist in the production of technical training material.
- Carry out service audits on new products, compile reports and feedback to R&D team at HQ.
- Create quick start guides for the full range of SANY products for the UK market.
- Assist with dealer service audits.
- Travel to clients' sites and run UK national service support; international travel to China and EU might be requested.
- Minimum HVQ Level 3 in mechanical engineering or relevant role specific experience.
- Experience in a wide range of products including Excavators from 1 tonne to 75 tonne, Telehandlers, Material Handlers, Electric construction equipment, Forklifts, Wheeled Loading shovels.
- Experience with HaV machines and competence to SAP level desirable.
- Demonstrated self-starter with strong initiative skills and a can-do positive attitude; the ability to work autonomously.
- Proven abilities to work effectively in teams.
- Ability to manage and implement project ideas.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competent with Office 365 programmes / Excel / Word etc.
- Experience of carrying out risk assessments and health & safety knowledge within the workplace is desirable.
- Full UK driving licence and the ability to travel throughout the UK when required.
