The Role
This Full time on site position offers great opportunities for career growth. We are seeking an ILLUSTRATOR/ART-WORKER to join our boutique design studio in Wimbledon.
Work across a wide range of creative projects, designing and illustrating in a variety of styles to suit our different brands and style guides. Create illustrations for our award-winning 3D greetings cards, character-led ranges and other product collections. Develop character artwork, product graphics and new design concepts from initial brief through to finished artwork. Work on product design and artworking across a broad range of formats and categories. Create visualisations, mock-ups and presentation materials to help bring new product ideas to life. Produce supporting marketing and promotional materials where required. Manage and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously, working closely with the wider creative and product team. Assist with general creative and administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the department.
Within the first 6 months, you will undergo a training probationary period to allow you to learn the fundamental skills necessary to complete high quality designs and prepare artworks ready for print.
The right candidate will have:
- Strong academic grades in addition to a high grade degree in a relevant design subject
- Excellent creative illustration and design capabilities
- A high level of proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- A meticulous eye for detail and the ability to multi-task
- The ability to learn quickly, think creatively and solve problems logically
- An enthusiastic can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage own workload
- A professional and friendly manner
- A passion for design trends within the gift and greetings card market
Portfolio Requirement Applicants must submit a portfolio with images showing their illustration and design skills, in addition to their CV.
