In this critical role, you’ll be part of the Front Office Support (FOS) team, which is part of the wider SLB CIO team, which also consists of the End User Technology (EUT) and Service management team. The team is responsible for application support activities within the markets area and supports Rates, Credit, FX, Equities and STM products.
We are seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist to join our team in London. You’ll be an important contributor to the support and enhancement of critical front office trading systems in a dynamic environment.
You’ll combine your technical expertise with an in-depth functional understanding to discuss issues with business and technical users at all levels and to deliver exceptional service and innovative solutions.

Providing technical and business support for Santander’s markets applications, both third party and in-house systems

Managing, maintaining and supporting applications and their operating environments, focusing on stability, quality and functionality against service level expectations

Following the Incident and Problem management process using ITIL practices

Demonstrating risk management skills by always applying best practices and safeguarding Santander

Keeping the team’s knowledge base up to date using tools like Confluence and OneNote
What you’ll bring:
These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:

Extensive experience in supporting Front Office markets desks with
-
Knowledge of Rates, Credit, Fixed Income eTrading, FX Options and STM business

Demonstrable experience of managing multiple applications establishing ITIL best practices processes and procedures

Experience of leading staff in a Production Support group in a high availability/mission critical environment
It would also be nice for you to have:

Willingness to work with teams across multiple locations and time-zones

Experience with ION MarketView, Murex, ITIL

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well at all levels

Ability to build relationships with peers and management
What else you need to know:
This role is based at our offices in Triton Square, London located within easy walking distance from Warren Street and Euston.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 4 days a week (pro-rata for part-time roles).

Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus.
