WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
SCIB is seeking a Business Manager to support the Banking & Corporate Finance (B&CF) group, being a key point of contact with other areas of CIB. You will play an important role with businesses regarding strategic initiatives for SCIB Spain, as well as Europe Corporate Finance initiatives. The Business Management team acts as a trusted partner and advisor to the business and senior management by developing business strategies, driving execution and implementation of business initiatives and priorities. The team is responsible for coordination and delivery of all required finance, strategy, and business support. The team acts in partnership with local and global areas to execute a cohesive strategy across Finance, HR, Compliance, Marketing, and product teams in C&IB.
- Developing of annual budgets, monthly/quarterly forecasts and annual strategic plans
- Monitor strategic priorities and the budget achievement at business and country level
- Manage monthly reporting and provide analysis of financials and deal pipeline
- Work directly with industry teams on development of sector reviews, pipeline management, and revenue reconciliation
- Oversee and monitor the strategic planning processes for the division
- Analyze industry data and trends to provide insights to management and industry groups
- Close collaboration and engagement with Senior Management to push local and global initiatives
- Provide close support to Head of Banking & Corporate Finance UK and the Co-Head of Europe Corporate Finance for his managing role, senior management presentations, offsites, townhalls, business reviews and meetings
- Ensure the appropriate execution of internal governance procedures and that compliance requests are completed in a timely manner
- Provide support to bankers on a daily basis with presentations for client meetings, market and industry analysis, and other ad hoc requests
- Enhance digitalization and data quality efficiencies of deal workflow by improving and connecting internal CRM tools
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Experience managing projects, driving change, or implementing strategic initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, finance, engineering with strong academic performance
- Master’s degree in Finance desirable
- CFA Charterholder is a plus
- Financial acumen with the ability to interpret and present complex data clearly
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and interpretative skills
- Strong communication skills (the candidate should be able to effectively convey complex ideas, both verbal and written)
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
- Autonomy and ability to thrive in dynamic, collaborative works environment
- Ability to manage several assignments simultaneously and to assign priorities under challenging timetables and short deadlines
- Professional maturity, commitment, rigorous and detail-oriented
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office with strong focus in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Fluency in Spanish and English is required (ability to interact with global stakeholders on a recurrent basis). Other languages are a plus
