Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is Santander’s global division that supports some of the world’s most complex and sophisticated corporate and institutional clients, offering customized services and value-added wholesale products to best meet their needs.

In this exciting opportunity, you’ll be part of a team providing support to all SCIB markets business areas. You’ll provide Traders with first-class support and interact with many different functions including Risk, Compliance, Back office and global colleagues based in Madrid and New York.

You’ll be integral in helping ensure that the control environment and related processes are robust and commensurate with the business requirements.

The difference you’ll make:

  • Validating trades in Front Office systems across an array of asset classes including Interest Rates, Fixed Income and FX
  • Performing trade lifecycle management including Expiries, Exercises, Terminations, Unwinds and Drawdowns
  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with the Front Office and ensuring smooth and efficient business support
  • Collaborating between Front Office and support teams in London, Madrid and New York
  • Creating and improving processes to better support the business in a controlled manner
  • Providing expert opinion on bookings to ensure risk, P&L and regulatory requirements are met

What you’ll bring:

These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:

  • In-depth understanding of derivative products including Interest Rate Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, Swaptions and Futures
  • Demonstrable experience with reconciliations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Well-developed analysis and problem-solving capability

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Experience in the booking of derivative transactions in risk management or settlement systems
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • An understanding of Banking Regulation including MiFID, EMIR and exposure to auditors
  • Good knowledge of Murex and Markitwire

What else you need to know:

This role is based at our offices in Triton Square, London located within easy walking distance from Warren Street and Euston.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 3 days a week (pro-rata for part-time roles).
