CFO Division-External Financial Reporting Team: we are responsible for preparing the UK and US Annual Reports, Half-Yearly Financial Reports and the Quarterly Management Statements (QMS) as well as internal-use quarterly financial statements for Santander UK Group Holdings plc, Santander UK plc and Santander Financial Services plc. This includes coordinating the other departments who contribute to and review the documents, including Group Accounting, FP&A, Capital Reporting, Tax, Risk and Legal & Corporate Governance, as well as the external auditors and legal advisors.

THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

The CFO Division is looking for an External Financial Reporting Senior Finance Professional based out of Milton Keynes. This role is on a fixed term contract for 12 months.

We're shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the production of significant parts of the UK Annual Reports, Half-Yearly Financial Reports and quarterly financial reporting outputs.
  • Inputting and analysing data used to prepare the statutory documents where necessary, investigating variances and taking appropriate corrective action.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of the electronic linkages, mappings and other elements of the reporting platform used to prepare the statutory documents.
  • Reviewing eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) updates in Wdesk.
  • Working with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the processes in relation to the Annual Reports, Half-Yearly Financial Reports and other documents.
  • Gaining an understanding of IFRS in order to assist the team with basic queries.

Professional Experience:

  • Experience of financial services (Preferred)
  • Experience of the UK public company reporting environment (Preferred)

Education:

  • Part-qualified is essential (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) (Required)

Hard Skills:

  • Experience of using Wdesk (Preferred)
  • Experience of using or reviewing iXBRL (Preferred)
  • Good numerical skills and proficient with Excel and Word (Preferred)

Soft Skills:

  • Proven interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and persuade others (Required)
  • Attention to detail, thoroughness and accuracy along with an ability to work under pressure and to deadlines (Required)

Salary Range: £31,785.00 - £47,677.00 per annum (depending on experience). This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
