Santander Consumer Finance is one of the UK’s leading Motor Finance companies, currently seeking a Senior Culture and Development Partner.
Responsibilities will include:
Join our evolving People & Culture team as a team lead for a 9-month FTC maternity cover. This role is vital within our function, reporting to the Head of People & Culture.
This role focuses on four key areas: Culture, DEI, Wellbeing, and Learning & Talent Development. It involves line managing a small team of Learning Partners and a Culture & MI Partner.
The role\’s purpose is to enable the delivery of the P&C Strategy and Culture Transformation Strategy, ensuring effective execution with the business. Data, measurement, and analysis are key priorities.
Note: This is a hybrid role requiring at least 3 days a week in the Redhill office. Remote workers are not considered.
The role involves delivering:
- the cultural transformation agenda, including behavioural change interventions and monitoring SCUK’s cultural health
- core training and development across all levels, including leadership development
- the enterprise-wide DEI plan and organisational DEI health
- employee engagement initiatives, tools, measurement, and reporting
- leading the team to deliver training flexibly according to business needs
- monitoring training around vulnerable customers and collections, scheduling appropriately
- understanding operations and providing suitable training solutions
- collaborating with the wider team to ensure training is delivered to SLA
- governance of mandatory training and escalation when necessary
- participating in group meetings and reporting on wider decisions
Qualifications and experience:
- Background in HR / L&D / Talent / Org Development, as an SME or with combined skills
- Experience leading a high-performing team challenging the status quo
- Proven experience in culture and DEI change initiatives
- Ability to influence at all levels, including ExCo
- Excellent presentation and storytelling skills for diverse stakeholders
- Ability to adapt to a global business context
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with strategic influence
- People management skills, fostering high performance and professionalism
- Experience in regulated environments and training challenges
- Budget management and managing expectations for training availability
- Self-motivated, driven, passionate about the subject
- Track record of continuous improvement
