As the Cost & Procurement Insight & Engagement Manager you will be responsible for driving engagement across internal and external (suppliers) stakeholders through targeted programmes of training and communication, whilst also leading the people development programme to enable continuous development and improvements across the Cost and Procurement team. You will lead the supplier engagement strategy, converting supplier insight into communications and training both internally to drive a culture of supplier collaboration within Santander and externally to increase our market presence and position as a customer of choice

As Procurement & Cost Insight & Engagement manager you’ll play a key part in the continual evolvement of Cost Management and Procurement, driving us towards Even Better Cost Management and Procurement. The scope of the role will require you to work across all of Cost and Procurement and the organisations supply chain, alongside the Service Management community of practice teams. Delivering functional enablement, training, communication and people strategy requirements..
The specific responsibility of the role is to lead and manage the team to deliver the following:

Taking insight from stakeholder surveys, supplier surveys, market insights and external benchmarks work with cost partners, category managers, service managers and suppliers to deliver excellence in Cost and Procurement.

Delivering a people capabilities plan to align with current talent capability plans and future state across Cost and Procurement team.

Deliver measurable People capability improvements with the ultimate goal of achieve upper quartile results for all areas.

Translating business and functional goals into tangible team objectives

Responsible for embedding and increasing utilisation of our operating model and correlating frameworks, including increasing our brand awareness and promotion
What you’ll bring:

Excellent project management methodology and track record of successful delivery: critical path, milestones, reporting, risk management, change management, solution focussed etc. to deliver strategic benefits and long-term impact.

Understanding of service delivery related key performance indicators

Experience of developing reporting systems, data visualisation and robust management information that provide analysis and insight into cost and quality performance

Demonstrate strength and flair in communicating across all business channels
It would also be nice for you to have:

Extensive knowledge of ESG in procurement

Experience of managing customer satisfaction surveys and turning results into tangible action.

Our preferred location for this role is Unity Place

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).

How we’ll reward you
As well as a competitive salary, you’ll enjoy a benefits package that you can tailor to your needs. For part-time / contract roles, your salary, bonus (where eligible) and certain benefits will be prorated to reflect your working hours / contract duration.

Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus.

We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don’t contribute yourself. We’ll pay in up to 12.5% of salary, if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer.

30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 31 days after 5yrs service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year.

£6,000 car allowance per year.
