In this challenging role within the Risk function, you’ll be part of the Funds and Financial Institutions Credit Risk team focussing on supporting the coverage of Traditional Funds, Pension Funds, Asset Manager and Insurance company counterparties. You’ll work in conjunction with a variety of teams, including front office, to optimise how we manage credit risk to comply with global credit policy and risk appetite frameworks for the sector.

The difference you’ll make:

  • Supporting the credit onboarding process of new fund managers and fund counterparties, working with other teams to deliver an efficient turnaround.
  • Undertaking the ongoing monitoring, reporting and analysis of credit risk exposures to fund counterparties across product classes.
  • Assisting with the design and implementation of credit risk reporting processes and other tactical reports.
  • Supporting the periodic review of fund counterparties, including establishing internal ratings and credit limit setting.
  • Assisting with rating analysis and transactional reviews for the insurance sector.
  • Monitoring economic and market events that can have an impact on the portfolio and producing regular reports on performance.

What you’ll bring:

These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:

  • Previous experience in a Credit Risk role.
  • In depth understanding of Credit and Financial Risk analysis.
  • Knowledge and experience of Financial Markets and Wholesale banking products.
  • High degree of proficiency with Excel.

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Working knowledge of analytical tools and relevant techniques.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject (Engineering, Finance, Science, and Mathematics) or equivalent.

This role is based at our offices in Triton Square, London located within easy walking distance from Warren Street and Euston. We want our people to thrive at work and home, and also be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 3 days a week (pro-rata for part-time roles). If you apply for this role in this location, it’s important you consider your travelling distance, time and cost from your home to the office location. We’re happy to discuss specific working patterns and arrangement within this hybrid approach during the recruitment process.
