As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for building and sustaining broker relationships. You will add value through by supporting business and providing a responsive service.
Adopting an appropriate contact strategy using diary management, whilst utilising MI to review and focus on areas of growth to achieve your own business plans.
You’ll be part of the East Team within Santander for Intermediaries, working with other colleagues in a similar role but also supporting a regional POD, encompassing aligned Telephone Business Development Managers.
Listening to brokers to maintain knowledge and understanding of their company culture, vision and goals, needs and future requirements for interface with Santander.
The difference you’ll make:

Managing all business activity and administration to demonstrate best practice, which meets or exceeds regulatory requirements.

Providing ownership for and educates brokers on submission requirements and address any issues highlighted by the broker quality metrics.

Managing up to date knowledge of competitor activity and products to maintain credibility with external relationships. Shares this information with colleagues.

Providing clarity in terms of performance, personal goals, quality & quantity of activity.

Supporting internal relationships and use of resources
What you’ll bring:

Experience and knowledge of the intermediary market.

Ability to hold excellent broker conversations using targeted questioning.

Excellent organisational skills involving diary management and addressing required activity.

Highly motivated to complete 3 or 4 face to face appointments daily, with car travel involved.
It would also be nice for you to have:

An excellent knowledge of lending policy and processes.

Previous experience of face to face or video conference meetings with brokers

Ability to read and understand MI to establish focus areas and track activity.

This is a field-based role covering East Kent, we would encourage you to apply if you are based within Maidstone, Ashford, Canterbury and surrounding areas.
