A fantastic opportunity has been made available to join the Core IT Payments & Open Banking Centre of Excellence (CoE) as an Automation Test Analyst. This is a very exciting time for the Payments IT Team as we transform how we operate within the Bank alongside group entities such as PagoNxt, and digitally transform our technical architecture to meet evolving customer expectations and industry changes (such as ISO20022).We service all our internal and external customer’s Payments needs in a secure, reliable and innovative manner.
The successful candidate will be part of the Core Payments & Open Banking IT test team, reporting to the test lead, and will own the implementation and execution of the payments & open banking automation testing strategy across a number of different applications/systems.
You will help shape our organisation and develop our exceptional people to meet the constantly changing environment that we operate in as we drive radical transformation and simplification across our systems. If you share our passion for technology and payments, come join us and deliver!
The difference you’ll make:
Implementing the automation testing (design and execute framework and scripts) for Payments & Open Banking for SIT, UAT and E2E, including performance testing
Working with our vendors such as PagoNxt to assess quality of deliverables and incorporate into E2E testing within Santander UK estate
Developing strategies withthe test lead, in collaboration with the Testing Centre of Excellence, to ensure every business flow has automated coverage
Promoting team efficiency by adopting a hybrid work approach of manual & automation testing, as and when the need arises
Collating stats, findings and clear remedial actions in reports for senior management, supporting the achievement of the QA end deliverables
What you’ll bring:
Expert in automation testing for Web, API (Restful API), mobile app with experience in mobile device farm testing
Excellent in Java, Selenium, Cucumber andtools such as Git, Jenkins, Postman, Confluence, Jira, X-ray execution and reporting
Extensive experience on agile methodologies implementing CI/CD including TDD/BDD
Proficient at working with peers and stakeholders to ensure thorough test coverage, design, execution and defect controls for SIT, UAT and E2E testing
Skilled in building metrics and automated systems for gathering/analysing quality checkpoints towards management reviews
It would also be nice for you to have:
Experience with building and running J Meter performance tests
Understanding of UK Payments flows and/or Open Banking
Experience of collaborating with multiple suppliers
Passion for being well-informed with market trends in automation tools and technologies

This is a permanent role based in Milton Keynes.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
