We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technology Service Manager for Public Cloud.
The Technology Service Manager for Public Cloud will be responsible for acting as the internal face of the service within Santander UK, triaging demand and representing the service within a number of internal governance forums.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing IT service delivery, leading teams, and driving continuous improvement. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
The difference you’ll make:
- The purpose of this role is to play a critical role in supporting the Service Manager by ensuring that Public Cloud infrastructure underpinning UK IT services is robust, reliable and aligned to business needs.
- The Technical SME for Public Cloud will work hand in hand with the Service Manager for Public Cloud in the management of all phases of the product life cycle (non-technical and technical) from discovery to contract termination and exit.
What you’ll bring:
- A thorough understanding of cloud computing, ideally AWS, including various cloud platforms and their architecture, deployment models and service models.
- Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical teams.
- Expertise in demand planning, capacity management, and governance frameworks
- Experience with Cloud Onboarding: Experience in cloud onboarding, including migrating applications to the cloud.
It would also be nice for you to have:
- Experience in change management, including developing and implementing change management strategies and managing resistance to change.
- Experience in managing relationships with vendors and evaluating vendor performance.
- Excellent understanding of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and deployment models (public, private, hybrid).
- Experience of managing teams tasked with developing and maintaining the significant estate of IT infrastructure that underpin IT services

This role is based in Milton Keynes

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).

How We’ll Reward You.
As well as a competitive salary, you’ll enjoy a benefits package that you can tailor to your needs.
- Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus.
- We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don’t contribute yourself. We’ll pay in up to 12.5% of salary, if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer.
- 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 31 days after 5yrs service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year.
- ÂŁ6,000 car allowance per year.
