SCUK Culture & MI Partner

Santander Consumer Finance is one of the UK's leading motor finance companies providing finance to a network of car dealerships throughout the United Kingdom. We are now looking for a Culture and MI Partner to join our People and Culture team. The purpose of this role is to support and deliver the Culture Strategy, Transformation and Change agenda through curation and analysis of data from across the organisation. Colleagues will work in close collaboration with key stakeholders to plan, support, and deliver on culture initiatives that develop a great working environment for all Santander Consumer employees.

Please note this role is a hybrid role with at least 3 days a week in the Redhill office. Remote workers will not be considered.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring data drives insight and decisions: analyse data and carry out the necessary due diligence to inform decisions ensuring digital tools are integrated to the creation and delivery of strategic projects and day-to-day activities.
  • Preparation of documentation: data dashboards, committee packs, and executive papers reporting on progress against the People and Culture strategy.
  • Employee engagement: support the participation in employee surveys and help the business areas analyse trends and deliver against identified actions.
  • Aide business accountability: coach people managers to significantly improve use of culture data and measured action planning.
  • Improve culture integration: develop and test new and novel approaches to culture and integrate these into our measurement - examples may include review and analysis of external data sources (e.g., Glassdoor) for cultural themes.
  • Build trust: develop relationships and engage with stakeholders across the Group to understand culture data requirements and integrate these into dashboards working towards a self-service model of culture data to the organisation.
  • Co-ordinate DEI activities: support working groups or committees in order to appropriately report on employee-led actions and day-to-day activities to support an inclusive environment.
  • Own pay gap reporting and associated data gathering tasks to satisfy legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Wellbeing: Track and monitor the delivery of wellbeing interventions and analyse metrics on their effectiveness in delivering sustained impact on our wellbeing goals.
  • Acts as a role model for the Santander Behaviours, providing support to colleagues to meet personal and business objectives.
  • Embed priorities in P&C: through collaboration with the wider People and Culture team, colleagues may take advantage of opportunities to support people initiatives which could be related to another specialism outside their expertise such as Learning, Performance, Change etc.
  • Adhering to our commitment to Consumer Duty ensuring we put our customers' needs first and set higher and clearer standards of consumer protection.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong influencing and communication skills verbally and in writing to inform and persuade up to senior stakeholder level.
  • Has a broad knowledge, skills and understanding of working within an HR role.
  • Functional knowledge of HR and related processes.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of leading-edge culture practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Research skills to fuel thinking and support recommendations to Culture. Evidence of building business relationships with key local and global business stakeholders.
  • Understanding/experience of conveying subject matter in a simple way to levels of managers and staff with diverse skills.
  • Knowledge and skills of working with teams to deliver results with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable time management, planning and project co-ordination skills.
  • Demonstrable knowledge/skills of manipulating HRIS/HRMI for different tasks, projects, and processes.
  • Demonstrable analytical knowledge/skills.
