Overview
As a Relationship Manager in the Belfast Corporate Team you will support a Relationship Director with the day-to-day management of a portfolio of Corporate Clients. You will demonstrate a client focused approach to deliver day to day operational solutions for existing and new clients, working collaboratively with other areas in Santander UK to achieve this.
Responsibilities
- Develop a good understanding of the corporate banking sector and keep abreast of the wider economic and business environment.
- Assist the Relationship Directors to develop customer plans for both existing and prospective clients and originating new opportunities.
- Develop a strong understanding of the products and services available to support Corporate and Commercial Clients.
- Give support to the Relationship Director with the management and monitoring of the customer portfolio including daily account excesses, timely receipt of financial information, annual review process, covenant monitoring and flagging potential risks.
- Prepare returns analysis on lending deals and understand the relationship between risk and return.
Qualifications
- Experience in a Relationship Management role either within a Retail/Corporate banking or a financial services/accountancy environment
- An understanding of the corporate banking market/financial services sector in Belfast / Northern Ireland
- Passion and relevant experience of delivery of growth ambitions

- Ability to understand complex financial statements.
- Adaptable and agile approach, constructively challenge and suggest improvements for processes and systems.
- A digital mindset with experience in using digital tools including Salesforce, nCino and digital onboarding.
- Aspiration to develop within the role and take ownership of Personal Development and building profile. Identify areas of improvement and come up with a development action plan.
