Job Purpose: Reporting into the Digital Product Manager, the key purpose of the role is to support the delivery and ongoing management of the company’s digital point of sale (POS) system, that in turn supports Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) & Dealer partners, customers and the wider HCUK business. The primary role of a Digital Coordinator is to plan, execute and document the testing of new applications, functionality, API integrations and small change requests prior to their launch into the live environment.
POS System Delivery and Testing:
- Work closely with the Digital & Innovation Director, Digital Product Manager, Digital Product Specialists, and partner agencies to analyse requirements, design / technical specifications to create comprehensive test scenarios, test objectives, acceptance criteria and timing plans.
- Execute agreed test scenarios within agreed timeframes, ensuring that all outcomes are fully documented, and where defects / bugs / errors are found, ensure these are escalated appropriately, and the relevant fix is identified.
- Coordinate and support releases into the live environment, ensuring readiness, appropriate approvals, and post-live QA are completed.
- Manage all Business As Usual (BAU) activities for the POS System, ensuring it remains accurate, up to date, and operates effectively.
- Own and coordinate quarterly BAU testing for the POS System and Finance API/Calc integrations, ensuring activities are planned with the wider team, executed within agreed timelines, and fully documented.
- Support the Digital Support Desk, ensuring that all assigned tickets are responded to and managed to satisfactory resolution in line with the agreed SLAs.
- Ad hoc support across other digital products will be required as needed.
Planning and Budgetary Control:
- Work with relevant stakeholders to plan, prioritise and manage multiple test activities to support on-time delivery of projects, in line with department budget.
Technical Knowledge:
- Develop and maintain a sound technical understanding of the POS System, related applications, relevant data sources, logic and Finance API/Calc integrations.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Develop sound working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, especially digital agency partners, SCUK and OEMs.
- Act as a point of contact for business users, providing guidance, resolving issues and capturing feedback to support ongoing system improvements.
Communication and Reporting:
- Quickly and effectively identify any critical issues and drive appropriate decisions and actions.
- Accurately record testing results.
- Produce accurate and meaningful test reports and communicate outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
Insight and Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements to existing processes, measures, and documentation as appropriate.
Risk and Compliance:
- In line with the company’s risk and compliance statement of responsibility and objectives, identify risks, incidents, and breaches, in accordance with company policies and department procedures.
Change Request (CR) Process/Project/Planning/Governance:
- Work closely with the Digital Product Manager to manage the POS System CR backlog, ensuring that CRs are tracked from inception through to completion, while contributing to wider digital initiatives as required.
- Maintain the digital governance processes, ensuring all changes, testing activities, and releases follow defined standards, controls, and approval frameworks.
Other:
- Carry out any other tasks from time to time as may reasonably be requested.

Required Experience and Expertise:
- Some experience of QA and testing in a previous role.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel.
- Understanding of project management lifecycle.
- Ability to liaise on a technical level with business/project owners and agency partners.
- Familiarity with JIRA is desirable but not essential.
- Previous exposure to or experience working in a role in the automotive sector is desirable but not essential.
Other Information:
- This role is home-based with requirements to visit the Company’s Head Office in Reigate (generally 1 to 2 days per month) and visits to our OEMs, suppliers or dealers as required.
- This position may require domestic travel from time to time.
Remuneration Package:
- Competitive base salary depending upon expertise, range of £38,000 - £42,000.
- Eligibility for annual bonus, up to 15%.
- 27 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays, with flexible holiday options and additional leave after five years.
