Role Overview
The Trade Insights Assistant will support a dynamic Editorial Team in London HQ, working alongside regional and solution‑level trade experts. The role focuses on researching, generating, and sub‑editing high‑quality content on global trade, and ensuring all insights are accurate, timely, and aligned with brand guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily research on global trade news, emerging trends, policy developments, and economic indicators that impact SMEs.
- Track updates across major trade corridors, monitoring factors that influence globally ambitious SMEs.
- Monitor geopolitical events, regulatory shifts, tariff changes, and identify emerging opportunities.
- Distil complex trade insights into clear, concise briefs for editorial teams to guide content creation.
- Fact‑check and verify all data and sources used in Navigator Global’s publications.
- Uphold editorial quality benchmarks, ensuring content meets all accuracy, timeliness, and brand‑guideline standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven writing and sub‑editing skills with a record of producing engaging copy.
- Ability to work to deadlines independently and as part of a fast‑paced newsroom.
- Good working knowledge of international trade, global markets, and business.
- Strong research skills, gathering and synthesising information from diverse sources.
- Excellent writing and reporting skills, emphasising clarity and accuracy.
- A proactive, inquisitive mindset with a passion for global trade.
- Experience or interest in journalism or international trade (preferred).
- Multilingualism or Spanish proficiency (preferred).

Work Location & Hours
