Successful execution of Bank’s Transformation is key to continued business success of our bank and is in sharp focus of our shareholders. In this role you will challenge status quo, drive change in all Divisions across the bank and extract quantified benefits at strategic scale. You will be part of a high impact team of senior colleagues reporting to Chief Transformation Officer.

The team will partner Division heads and engage with ExCo on regular basis to drive the Transformation, focused on number of well-defined strategic priorities. Most importantly you will make Santander UK a robust and leaner business.

THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

Santander UK is looking for a Transformation Manager based out of Milton Keynes. This role is on a fixed term contract for 6 months.

We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Transformation Progress Tracking: maintain an accurate view of transformation initiatives, milestones, deliverables and progress against plan, proactively follow up where activity is slipping.
  • Data and Information Management: Ensure Transformation data is complete, accurate and current across plans, benefits, milestones, risks, dependencies and key milestones.
  • Performance & MI reporting: produce clear concise reporting on progress, outcomes and performance, identifying trends, exceptions, and areas requiring intervention.
  • Benefits Tracking: Maintain benefits information, baselines forecasts and actuals. Work with initiative owners and finance to ensure benefits are evidenced and accurately reported.
  • Risks, Issues & Dependencies: Maintain visibility of key risks, issues actions and cross-transformation dependencies, escalating where these are not being resolved or are threatening outcomes.
  • Planning and Coordination: support development and maintenance of transformation plans and coordinate activity across teams to ensure dependencies and key dates are understood.
  • Transformation Analysis: Analyse performance and delivery data to identify emerging problems, bottlenecks, opportunities and areas requiring senior attention.
  • Information quality and challenge: Challenge incomplete, inconsistent or outdated information and work with owners to improve the quality and reliability of transformation data.
  • Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to simplify and automate transformation tracking, reporting governance and administrative processes.
  • Communications: Preparing reporting to ExCo, workstream leaders and the broader transformation community on the overall status of the programme, celebrating success and highlighting areas of attention.
  • Building Partnerships: Building and maintaining effective internal and external partnerships with stakeholders at all levels, to enhance two-way communications and support the development of projects.

  • Professional Experience: Exceptional Project Management skills (Required)
  • Great understanding of project management methodologies and best practices, including Business Cases, project planning, stakeholder mapping and communications plans and risk and issue management (Required)
  • Conceptual thinking and working from first principles ability, rather than using a standard prescribed formula (Required)
  • Ability to manage cross-functional project teams, setting tasks and objectives and delivering formal appraisals as required (Required)
  • Soft Skills: Prince2, APMP or equivalent formal project management qualification Understanding (Preferred)
  • Should be able to contribute to the development of the project team vision, strategy and methodologies (Preferred)

Salary Range: £49,274.00 - £73,912.00 per annum (depending on experience)

This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills, experience, qualifications and location.

30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 31 days after 5 years service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year.

£6,000 car allowance per year.

Company funded individual private medical insurance.
