Retail & Business Banking Division focuses on the complete needs of our customers, aligned to our group structure and ambitions as a global business.
The division covers all products – Current Accounts, Savings, Cards, Unsecured Personal Loans, Mortgages, Insurance, Investments. It also includes customer interactions across branches, Work Cafés, contact centres, and wealth and digital channels.
It's also the home of our Financial Support and Vulnerable Customer teams, Santander brands Cater Allen and cahoot, as well as our universities programme.
THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE
Financial Support is looking for a Senior Product & Programme Manager based out of Unity Milton Keynes, Bradford or Glasgow.
Financial Support (FS) is a Centre of Excellence (CoE) and consists of c. 600 colleagues supporting customers struggling with their finances across all Retail and Business Banking portfolios.
The CoE is made up of four areas; the contact centre, customer journeys, strategy and COO teams. This role sits within the COO team.
The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction to the Financial Support Product Team who own the systems and tools used by front line colleagues in their support of customers. They will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic infrastructure plan, including integration of TSB.
We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:

Leading the Financial Support product (infrastructure) team, consisting of 15 colleagues, and five direct reports.

Business Ownership of Financial Support’s systems and tools, including establishing, maintaining and deploying the strategic infrastructure plan.

Managing Financial Support’s TSB integration workstream and deputising for the FSCoE COO / Director Financial Support as required.

Professional Experience

Product Management, Programme Management, Change Management, or a related delivery leadership role (required)

Experience delivering business and customer outcomes through systems implementation, process automation, or optimisation (required)

Experience managing complex dependencies across multiple projects, workstreams, and stakeholders (required)

Track record of defining product roadmaps through the product lifecycle, and translating business strategy into executable delivery plans (preferred)

Commercial experience managing third-party suppliers, vendors, or strategic partners (preferred)

People management and leadership experience (required)

Experience presenting programme status, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership (required)

Experience within regulated industries such as Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, or Telecommunications (required)

Salary Range:
£68,662.00 - £102,994.00 per annum (depending on experience)
This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
