The Data & AI Domain at Santander is responsible for setting the strategic direction for data, analytics, and artificial intelligence across the organisation. It ensures that data is managed as a trusted enterprise asset and that advanced technologies are applied responsibly, securely, and effectively to create value for customers and the business.

THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

The Data & AI Domain is looking for a Senior PMO Manager based in any of the multiple UK head-office locations. You will embed disciplined value management across the Data & AI portfolio, ensuring that benefits are defined, evidenced, validated and converted into measurable business outcomes. Working with Finance, Management Control and initiative owners, you will strengthen confidence in forecasts, prevent double counting and identify the management actions needed to translate productivity into P&L impact.

You will be responsible for:

  • Implement the Global value-management methodology locally across the Data & AI portfolio.
  • Define benefit baselines, attribution, confidence and evidence requirements at intake.
  • Distinguish clearly between deployment, value generated and value captured.
  • Coordinate monthly validation with Finance, initiative owners and Management Control.
  • Reconcile portfolio value with Planview and bank-wide change governance.
  • Prevent double counting and challenge unsupported value claims.
  • Maintain benefit confidence, forecast and evidence status, highlighting material gaps and changes.
  • Escalate benefits that lack the management actions required to convert productivity into P&L impact.

Professional Experience

  • Substantial experience in benefits realisation, value management, finance partnering, portfolio management or transformation. (Required)
  • Experience defining baselines, attribution rules, evidence standards and benefit confidence. (Required)
  • Experience validating benefits with Finance, business owners or management-control functions. (Required)
  • Experience challenging forecasts and reconciling value reporting across multiple sources. (Required)
  • Experience in data, analytics, AI, financial services or another regulated environment. (Preferred)

Education

  • Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience. (Required)
  • Finance, accounting, benefits-realisation, portfolio or change-management qualification. (Preferred)

Languages

  • English. (Required)
  • Spanish (Preferred)

Hard Skills

  • Benefits realisation and value-management methodology. (Required)
  • Financial and operational baseline definition, attribution and evidence assessment. (Required)
  • Forecasting, reconciliation and confidence-based reporting. (Required)

Salary Range: £68,662.00 - £102,994.00 per annum (depending on experience)

This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
