Santander Digital Services is the team of technology and operations at Santander. The purpose of the role is to provide advanced expertise in data analysis, drive strategic insights and lead data driven initiatives within the organisation. We're shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and leading a mature, end-to-end resilience governance and analytics capability, integrating frameworks, mapping, vulnerability identification, and reporting.
- Developing quantitative models and analytical approaches to challenge impact tolerances (ITOLs) and link scenarios to business outcomes.
- Leading integrated vulnerability assessment, combining data from multiple sources to identify systemic risk and control weaknesses.
- Driving control effectiveness testing, remediation tracking, and evidencing frameworks using data-led approaches.
- Defining and delivering Board-quality MI and reporting, ensuring transparency, traceability, and actionable insights.
- Overseeing data architecture, tooling, and platforms to support analytics, reporting, and resilience decision-making.
- Leading advanced data analysis, statistical modelling, and machine learning initiatives to extract insights and improve resilience outcomes.
- Acting as the key interface between business, risk, and technology, translating complex business challenges into scalable data solutions.

- Extensive experience leading data analytics, data science, or data engineering capabilities in complex organisations (Required).
- Proven experience delivering data-driven solutions for risk, resilience, or regulatory environments (Required).

- Experience leading cross-functional teams and large-scale data initiatives (Required).
Education:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field (Preferred).
- Advanced degree or professional certifications in Data Science, Analytics, or Risk Management (Preferred).
Languages:

Hard Skills:
- Strong expertise in data analytics, statistical modelling, and machine learning techniques (Required).
- Advanced knowledge of data engineering (ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data integration) (Required).
- Experience with data visualisation and BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, SAS VA) (Required).
- Strong knowledge of data modelling, database structures, and information architecture (Required).
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and modelling (Required).

Salary Range: £76,000.00 - £114,000.00 per annum (depending on experience). This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
30 days' holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 31 days after 5 years service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year.
£6,000 car allowance per year.
