Cyber Emergency Response Team/CISO is looking for a Senior Digital Forensics Analyst based out of Milton Keynes.

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Digital Forensics Specialist to join our Cyber Security team. This is an exciting opportunity for a forensic investigator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for uncovering evidence, investigating security incidents, and helping protect our organisation, customers, and colleagues from cyber threats.

As a Digital Forensics Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting cyber investigations, insider threat cases, data loss events, and incident response activities. You'll work alongside Cyber Security, Risk, Legal, HR, and Technology teams to identify, preserve, analyse, and report on digital evidence across a wide range of investigations.

  • Conduct digital forensic investigations across endpoints, servers, cloud platforms, and mobile devices.

  • Support Cyber Incident response activities through evidence collection, analysis, and reporting.

  • Lead and support complex investigations across the corporate ecosystem involving insider threat, data loss prevention, fraud, policy breaches, and cyber security incidents.

  • Ensure evidence is collected, preserved, and managed in line with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Produce clear, concise, and defensible investigation reports suitable for technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Collaborate with Legal, HR, Compliance, Risk, and Cyber Security stakeholders throughout investigations.

  • Develop and maintain forensic processes, procedures, and methodologies.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the organisation's digital forensic and investigative capabilities.

  • Support threat-led investigations and proactive hunting activities where appropriate.

Professional Experience:

  • Experience in Digital Forensics, Cyber Investigations, Incident Response, or a related cyber security discipline (Required)

  • Solid knowledge of forensic principles, evidence handling, and chain of custody requirements (Required)

  • Experience with industry standard forensic and investigation tools such as: EnCase, FTK, Cellebrite, Magnet AXIOM, X-Ways, Velociraptor and Microsoft Purview Investigation tools (Required)

  • Knowledge of Windows, macOS, cloud environments, and enterprise technologies (Required)

  • Ability to analyse forensic artefacts and identify indicators of malicious or suspicious activity (Required)

  • Experience producing high-quality investigation reports and presenting findings to stakeholders (Required)

  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (Required)

Education:

  • Professional certifications such as: GIAC Certifications (GCFE, GCFA & GREM) (Preferred)

  • Vendor Certifications (EnCE, MCFE, BelkaCE, MCE, MCAA, CCO, CCPA) (Preferred)

  • CHFI, CISSP or CFCE (Preferred)

Salary Range:
£64,000.00 - £96,000.00 per annum (depending on experience)

This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
