THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE
Retail & Commercial Banking is looking for a Product Proposition Manager based out of Milton Keynes.
This role is a 6 month secondment
This is an opportunity to work at the heart of two of Santander UK’s major Everyday Banking propositions: 123 Rewards, our future loyalty proposition, and PCA Simplification, our programme to create a clearer and more compelling current account range.
You will work across Product, Customer, Commercial, Technology and Distribution teams to turn strategy into propositions and customer experiences that are commercially viable, customer-led and deliverable.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, influencing across teams and taking ownership for getting things done. You will have accountability for defined workstreams and deliverables, with the opportunity to shape propositions that will materially change how Santander serves its customers.
We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the development and delivery of 123 Rewards and PCA proposition initiatives, including proposition design, customer value propositions, pricing and proposition mechanics.
- Driving agreed product and customer outcomes, coordinating across multiple teams to progress milestones, dependencies and key decisions.
- Using customer insight, research and data to identify opportunities and improve propositions and customer experiences.
- Supporting commercial analysis and business cases, including customer value, proposition economics, pricing and investment requirements.
- Managing analysis and insight to inform product development, prioritisation and proposition decisions.
- Identifying and managing risks, issues and dependencies, escalating where appropriate and helping teams stay on track.
- Supporting third-party and partner management, translating requirements into deliverable propositions and customer experiences.
- Supporting go-to-market and launch readiness, working across digital, marketing, distribution and servicing to ensure propositions are ready to launch and operate effectively.

Professional Experience:
- Experience working in product management, proposition development, customer experience or a related commercial role within a complex organisation. (Required)
- Experience of delivering complex initiatives or projects across multiple teams, with evidence of driving activity through to implementation. (Required)
- Experience using customer insight, data and commercial analysis to inform propositions, prioritisation or business decisions. (Required)
- Experience working with third parties, partners or suppliers to deliver customer or product outcomes. (Preferred)
Education:
- Degree level educated or equivalent relevant professional experience. (Required)
- Relevant product, commercial or customer experience qualification. (Preferred)
Languages:
- English – fluent written and verbal communication. (Required)
Hard Skills:
- Strong understanding of product / proposition development and customer value propositions. (Required)
- Ability to analyse customer, commercial and performance data and turn insight into clear recommendations. (Required)
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills, including managing dependencies and delivering to deadlines. (Required)
- Soft Skills
- Strong influencing and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences. (Required)
- Highly collaborative, with the ability to build effective relationships across Product, Customer, Commercial, Technology and Distribution. (Required)
- Comfortable working with ambiguity, challenging constructively and taking personal accountability for delivering outcomes. (Required)
- Strong customer focus and ability to look at problems through the eyes of the customer. (Preferred)

Salary Range:
£52,459.00 - £78,689.00 per annum (depending on experience)
This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
