THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

The Home business is looking for a Product Owner based out of London or Milton Keynes. Join our Digital & Direct Customer team and help shape the future of one of the most important financial journeys our customers make. The Homes Digital team is responsible for creating and continually improving digital experiences across the home and mortgage lifecycle, including mortgage sales, mortgage servicing, contract variations and home management.

As Product Owner for our digital mortgage application journey, you’ll take ownership of a core proposition and play a key role in defining what comes next. Our ambition is not simply to keep pace with the market, but to continue to lead it – using customer insight, technology and innovation to make applying for a mortgage simpler, faster and more intuitive. This is an opportunity to own a strategically important customer journey end to end. You’ll combine product thinking, customer experience and commercial judgement with excellent delivery leadership, working across Santander to turn ideas and customer needs into experiences used by thousands of customers.

We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Owning the vision, roadmap and ongoing development of Santander’s digital mortgage application journey, balancing customer, business and strategic priorities.
  • Leading the end-to-end delivery of new features and improvements, from identifying opportunities and defining the customer problem through to launch, measurement and continuous optimisation.
  • Using customer insight, data, market trends and competitor understanding to identify opportunities to improve the journey and maintain our market-leading position.
  • Designing simple, intuitive and inclusive customer journeys, thinking beyond individual screens or features to consider the complete end-to-end mortgage and home-buying experience.
  • Building, managing and prioritising the product backlog and roadmap, making clear prioritisation decisions based on customer value, business benefit, risk, effort and strategic alignment.
  • Working closely with Technology, UX, Data, Mortgage Product, Operations, Risk, Compliance and other teams to turn customer and business needs into high-quality digital experiences.
  • Developing compelling business cases and recommendations for investment, clearly articulating customer outcomes, commercial benefits, costs, risks and measures of success.
  • Bringing new ideas and challenging existing ways of working, identifying opportunities to use emerging technology, automation and innovation to create better outcomes for our customers and the business.
