THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE
CFO is looking for a Accounting Manager based out of Milton Keynes.
This role is on a fixed term contract for 12 months.
As an accounting manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability and integrity of our numbers. By reporting financial information in a timely manner, you will help the organisation meet its key deadlines.
We are looking for a motivated and passionate Accounting Manager to support our Senior Manager to ensure the timely and accurate completion of Retail IRB RWA calculations for both local and group stakeholders. You will work closely with the change team to implement any regulatory, risk or capital change initiatives and will provide support and guidance to 1 direct report.
To be successful in this role, you’ll require high level of numeracy and accuracy skills. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the Retail IRB calculations and will be the capital subject matter expert on the 6 models that sit within the area.
We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:
- Monthly preparation of Retail IRB RWA calculations.
- Variance analysis and presentation of key metrics.
- Monthly set up and maintenance of the Group parameterisation engine.
- Preparation of quarterly C08 COREP templates, annual C15 COREP template and ACRMD tables.
- Continuous process improvement and implementation of change related to Retail IRB models.
- Managing 1 direct report.

Professional Experience:
- Excellent knowledge of Retail and/or Non-Retail IRB Models (Required)
- Experience of working with Group BDR and Avalon Datalake (Required)
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail (Required)
- Knowledge of SAS and ability to interrogate large volumes of data (Required)
- Excellent numerical ability and the use of excel is imperative (Required)
- Ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders (Required)
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment (Required)
- Experience of managing direct reports (Required)
Education:
- ACCA or CIMA Qualification (or equivalent) (Required)
Hard Skills:
- Experience of regulatory capital reporting, including calculation of RWA (Required)
- Experience of working to tight deadlines with multiple internal data providers is crucial for this position (Required)
- Experience of implementing model changes (Preferred)
- Experience of presenting at committees and forums (Preferred)

Salary Range:
£53,500.00 - £80,250.00 per annum (depending on experience)
This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
