Santander Corporate and Commercial banking is looking for a Senior Financial Crime Lead based out of any CCB office. This role is a play manager role and is an excellent opportunity to join our team and play an important part of the CCB Client Onboarding, Financial Crime & digital Channels team, providing support and guidance to front office colleagues for critical onboarding and ongoing due diligence journeys. This will give an opportunity to demonstrate great communication & influencing skills working with the Regional or Sector team and our chosen outsourcing provider to support the development of the Financial Crime risk capability for CCB. This role reports to the Head, Client Onboarding, Financial Crime & Digital Channels - CCB.

To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:
- Managing an experienced team of c.4 direct reports providing the required leadership and setting clear guidelines and expectations for team members.
- Delivering best-in-class NTB & ODD client experience onboarding journeys and being the conduit between relationship teams, clients and FC CoE, managing service and risk.
- Reporting mechanism and visibility of FC Risk within the front office and ensuring that any queries in relation to control alerts or ongoing due diligence reviews are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Providing constructive support within the Regional or Sector team in terms of Financial Crime knowledge and the ability to produce high quality Financial Crime CDD/ODD submissions.
- Ensuring submissions, and analysis of client due diligence, is of a high quality, accurate, consistent and policy compliant.
- Analysing and monitoring the Financial Crime risk metrics of the regional portfolio to maintain an overview of the risk profile of the book.

The following requirements represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities essential for success in this role:
- Previous experience in managing teams and driving a high performance culture.
- Thorough understanding of Corporate & Commercial Banking, including processes, clients, and product suite.
- Strong knowledge of Financial Crime CDD and ODD processes within a banking environment.
- Experience managing senior stakeholders.
- Experience within a Corporate & Commercial Banking environment, ideally in a Financial Crime or front office role.
- Experience contributing to or delivering strategic initiatives within CCB.
Education:
- Preferred – Professional Banking Qualification.
- Desirable – Professional FC Qualification.
- Experience working within a Corporate and Commercial Banking environment, ideally in a Financial Crime analysis role.
- Experienced in the development and delivery of the strategic plan in CCB.
Languages: English

Salary Range: £58,367.00 - £87,551.00 per annum (depending on experience). This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
