Corporate and Commercial Banking: The CCB team acts as a strategic partner, offering local expertise combined with the global reach of the Santander Group to help businesses grow and manage their finances effectively. Services include managing assets, acquiring funding, trade finance solutions, and online banking platforms. As an apprentice, you will need to have the ability to truly listen to clients and colleagues, build lasting relationships, and have excellent numerical and writing skills. You will have a highly collaborative approach to work and the confidence to speak up with great ideas, embrace change, and seek innovative new ways of doing things.

Through comprehensive training and on-the-job learning, you’ll develop the confidence, skills, and experience to launch a career with a world-leading bank.
As one of our Corporate & Commercial Banking apprentices, you’ll get the chance to help our mid-market, large corporate, and global customers prosper. You’ll undertake three 9-month placements in Relationship Banking, Chief Operating Office, and Structured & Specialist Finance teams. All will provide a wealth of exposure and the experience, skills, and confidence you need to forge an exceptional career. Your final 6-month placement will be shaped by you and your future career interests and could be in any area across the Corporate & Commercial bank. Over 33 months, you’ll work with and learn from a collaborative and highly skilled team of specialists, as you develop the know-how behind building successful businesses for our customers and a successful career for you.

- Maths and English GCSEs grade 4 or above (Required)
- A minimum of 104 UCAS points (top 3 A Level grades or equivalent, excluding General Studies and Extended Project) from the new UCAS scoring methodology or equivalent, including further education qualifications (Required)
- An actively collaborative and intellectually curious approach to work (preferred)
- A flair for seeing the small details, as well as the bigger picture (Preferred)
- An ability to build strong relationships and influence colleagues at all levels (preferred)
- The confidence to share ideas and embrace new ways of working (preferred)

Starting salary of £27,500 plus a £500 annual cash allowance to spend on our great range of benefits. 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 26 days after 5 years service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year. We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don’t contribute yourself. We’ll pay in up to 12.5% of salary if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer. To make this possible, our roles are site-based with a hybrid working pattern, where colleagues are expected to attend the office at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
