The Private Banking & Select Investment teams are structured to provide regulated advice on financial services and investment products tailored to meet long-term investment needs of the clients within the segment.

Santander is looking for a Select Investment Advisor based out of Birmingham. A dream holiday. Early retirement. Sending a loved one to university. Some of our customers have big plans for their money, and that's where you come in. By providing them with clear informed advice about their investment options, you'll help to make those plans a reality. If you have experience in providing customers with investment advice and see your future as a key colleague in our branch network, this could be your opportunity to become a Select Investment Advisor. It's a premium service: you'll be working with customers looking to invest for at least five years or more. You'll listen to their needs, clarify their objectives and analyse their circumstances. Where appropriate, you'll explain which of our award-winning investment products are right for them.

To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing regulated investment advice to help clients meet their objectives.
  • Representing Santander Select and investments in Branch.
  • Identifying potential new customers in need of this Service.
  • Demonstrating deep understanding of wider financial affairs and financial products to ensure that knowledge is comprehensive, and client focused.
  • Maintaining up to date and compliant records to ensure relevant internal standards and external regulatory requirements are observed.

  • Professional Experience: Proven skills in providing investment advice and delivering an outstanding customer experience (Required)
  • A good knowledge and understanding of wider financial markets, with exposure to the full range of banking products and financial planning industry (Preferred)
  • Education: A Level 4 Financial Planning diploma valid for FCA activity 4 (giving personal recommendations on retail investment products) (Required)
