Santander UK Wholesale Trade Support is looking for a Wholesale Trade Support Manager - Markets Execution & Liquidity based out of London. Provide Middle Office support, oversight and subject matter expertise across Markets Execution and Liquidity activity, helping specialist Treasury desks operate with accurate trade capture, solid P&L oversight, effective controls and timely issue resolution.

  • Provide specialist Middle Office oversight across Balance Sheet Execution, Link Desk, RSG, Short Term Markets and related Treasury activity.
  • Ensure trade support, P&L, reconciliations and control processes are completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed standards.
  • Support the control framework for Short Term Markets activity on Murex and resolve operational issues through to completion.
  • Act as a key Middle Office contact for Front Office and work closely with Finance, Risk, Technology and Operations.
  • Support monthly P&L, client valuations, break costs and specialist customer activity with timely investigation and escalation of issues.
  • Provide technical guidance, cross-training and knowledge sharing across liquidity, execution, P&L and Treasury processes.
  • Identify synergies across desks and improve booking models, processes, controls and the wider Middle Office operating model.
  • Use AI, automation and workflow tools to simplify processes, reduce manual effort and strengthen operational controls.

Professional Experience:

  • Experience using Murex and other Treasury or operational systems to support trade activity, controls and reporting (Required)
  • Experience operating as a subject matter expert and providing technical direction to colleagues (Required)
  • Experience working with Front Office, Finance, Risk, Technology and senior support teams (Required)

Education:

  • Relevant academic qualification (Required)
  • Demonstrates continuous personal development (Required)

Hard Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of P&L and NII processes, including running, reviewing and interpreting desk P&L from an MI perspective (Required)
  • Good understanding of supported Treasury desk activity, products, booking flows and trade lifecycle events (Required)
  • Solid Excel and automation skills, including macros and VBA (Required)
  • Good understanding of operational risk within a markets support environment (Required)
  • Aware of AI, automation and workflow tools for process and control improvement (Required)

Soft Skills:

Salary Range: £56,700.00 - £85,050.00 per annum (depending on experience). This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
