IT STARTS HERE

Santander (www.santander.com) is evolving from a global, high-impact brand into a technology-driven organisation, and our people are at the heart of this journey. Together, we are driving a customer-centric transformation that values bold thinking, innovation, and the courage to challenge what’s possible.

This is more than a strategic shift. It’s a chance for driven professionals to grow, learn, and make a real difference.

Our mission is to contribute to help more people and businesses prosper. We embrace a strong risk culture and all our professionals at all levels are expected to take a proactive and responsible approach toward risk management.

Retail & Commercial Banking is a global business integrating all our retail and commercial banking activities to better serve our customers, improve efficiency and drive value creation.

THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

Retail & Commercial Banking is looking for a Senior Product Proposition Manager based out of Milton Keynes.

This role is a 6 month secondment.

This is a high-impact opportunity to help shape two of Santander UK’s major Everyday Banking changes: 123 Rewards, our future loyalty proposition, and PCA Simplification, our programme to create a clearer, more differentiated current account range.

You will lead proposition development and delivery across complex, highly visible change, working across Product, Commercial, Customer, Technology, Distribution, Risk and external partners to turn strategy into propositions that customers value and the bank can deliver.

This is a role for someone who can move comfortably between strategy and execution — setting direction, making decisions, building the business case, influencing senior stakeholders and driving teams to deliver. You will have genuine scope to shape how Santander serves its customers and how we grow deeper, more valuable relationships.

We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead the development and implementation of product and proposition strategy across 123 Rewards and PCA Simplification, including customer value proposition, proposition mechanics, pricing and product strategy.

  • Own strategic product outcomes, translating the strategy into clear priorities, plans, milestones and decisions across complex, cross-functional programmes.

  • Lead customer growth and engagement, using customer insight, data and behavioural understanding to shape propositions and experiences that deepen relationships and deliver commercial value.

  • Own or lead business cases, investment and funding requirements, ensuring assumptions, economics and benefits are robust and aligned to strategic priorities.

  • Lead product economics and performance, including P&L / Balance Sheet responsibilities where applicable, and ensure propositions deliver against agreed financial and customer outcomes.

  • Lead senior stakeholder alignment and prioritisation across Product, Commercial, Technology, Customer, Distribution, Risk and other functions, securing the decisions and resources required to deliver change.

  • Lead third-party and partner relationships, setting direction, managing performance and ensuring external partners deliver against agreed outcomes.

  • Lead proposition and launch readiness, ensuring customer journeys, communications, operational requirements and supporting capabilities are aligned ahead of implementation.
