Santander Consumer Finance is one of the UK's leading motor finance companies and we are currently looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst to join our team, to support the delivery of the SCUK's Change Portfolio by collating requirements, reviewing designs and development activities, and supporting defect/incident management. The role will also include the support and management of driving the Technology Small Change Request backlog.

Please note this role is a hybrid role with at least 3 days a week in the Redhill office. Remote workers will not be considered.

Responsibilities will include:

  • The ability to chair, own, and steer critical development meetings to achieve a satisfactory outcome.
  • Good working knowledge of software development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrate experience of working in high pressure environments in previous roles.
  • Ability to manage repeatable standard processes along with an ability to find, own and resolve a Group Vision.
  • Promotes and embeds a risk awareness culture within area of responsibility and Santander-hoc issues.
  • Demonstrates awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the firm operates.
  • Anticipates future market trends and uses to inform strategy.
  • Critically challenges and analyses business propositions to help others explore opportunities and generate initiatives.
  • Understands customer landscape and importance of Treating Customers Fairly to business strategy.
  • Identifies, assesses, manages and reports risks within own business area and across Santander.
  • Demonstrates an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing business area and their role in managing them.
  • Carries out appropriate contingency planning and balances risk impact with delivery of business as usual.
  • Demonstrates the ability to assess the effectiveness of Santander's arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and oversees changes when required.
  • Ensures new business opportunities reflect appropriate governance and regulatory control.
  • Demonstrates awareness and understanding of the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to their role.
  • Ensures that business and financial affairs are managed with diligence and integrity for the benefit of shareholders, customers and employees in compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks and regulation.

What we're looking for:

  • Advanced experience as a Technical Business Analyst.
  • Advanced experience on Software Development programmes with knowledge and understanding of the development lifecycle.
  • Microsoft tools - Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Microfocus tools - Application Lifecycle Management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong business process mapping and analysis experience.
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proactive and able to work under own initiative.
  • Ability to work across multiple activities adjusting to shifting priorities.
