This is an exciting opportunity to join our finance team as a Financial Management Processor (12 Month FTC) for Santander Consumer Finance UK (SCUK). This Processor will be responsible for the allocation of all cash and cash related transactions for Volvo, SCUK, HCUK. Due to the nature of this role the job holder must be in the office on the last and first working days of the month. Please note this role is a hybrid role with at least 3 days a week in the Redhill office. Remote workers will not be considered.
Responsibilities will include:
- Reconciling and processing credit card payments to customer agreements
- Ensuring that all documentation is passed for scanning and providing cover if required
- Validating cheque payments
- Encoding cash & cheque payments to customer agreements
- Performing a daily reconciliation of cash transactions processed versus transactions banked
- Banking cheques to Walker Financials
- Scanning supplier invoices
- Resolving supplier queries in a timely manner, referring to senior resource where necessary
- Reconciling supplier statements to ensure accuracy and integrity of profit & loss account
- Updating Walker Financials with supplier transactions
- Validating and encoding supplier invoices
- Investigate and resolve internal customer queries received by both telephone and email
- Adhering to our commitment to Consumer Duty ensuring we put our customers’ needs first and set higher and clearer standards of consumer protection
What we’re looking for:
- An interest or qualification (AAT) in finance/accounting would be beneficial but is not essential as full training will be provided
- Use of SAGE Accounts would be beneficial
- Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel which is necessary
- Independent; ability to operate effectively with minimal guidance
- Well organised, goal orientated, able to meet deadlines and able to prioritise work
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and to work well under pressure with several issues simultaneously
- Excellent communicator, confident in approaching other business areas
- Keen attention to detail and advanced analytic skills
