Santander Consumer Finance is one of the UK’s Leading Motor Finance companies and we are currently looking for a Continuous Improvement & Change Manager on a 12 month FTC.
This manager will oversee the effective delivery of key initiatives aligned to the delivery of the Leasing strategy. You will support the Senior Business Integration Manager in the critical area of change and project management of system and process development areas and Operational capability.
Please note this role will be split between Redhill & Milton Keynes working Hybrid 3x per week between the both.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working in conjunction with SCUK’s internal business functions, its business partners (OEM and Dealer) and third parties, utilising appropriate insight (industry, business, customer and technological etc.), to drive change initiatives and continual improvement
- Monitor the delivery of agreed activities within set budgets, ensuring financial discipline through regular review of project milestones, costs, and performance
- Oversee multiple change initiatives, assessing the impact and ensuring high quality business outcomes are maintained throughout.
- Adapt to the ever-evolving environment and reacting quickly to meet challenges to ensure minimal disruption to the business and customers
- Work in conjunction with SCUK’s Risk function to ensure business performance is optimised, key stakeholders are informed and SCUK reputational risk is protected
- Prepare and oversee the delivery of project status updates and associate KPI’s as required by the business and OEM partners in relation to third party performance
- Coordinate and deliver change initiatives that are focused on the leasing target operating model or the improvement of performance, efficiency or compliance
- Establish a sound working relationship with internal and external stakeholders to help optimise SCUK’s business offering
- Adhere to SCUK policies and processes with regards to personal conduct, and ensure that services are provided in a compliant manner and are aligned to the organisation’s overall values of Simple, Fair and Personal and a wider culture of Treating Customers Fairly
- Support on-boarding of new staff, manage staff including overseeing continuous improvement via monthly individual incentive structure
- Ensure all change and project management activity is carried out in line with SCUK’s governance framework and in line regulatory business principles including the delivery of good customer outcomes
- Work closely with the management team to ensure all operational, administrative, and compliance functions within the business are being properly executed in accordance with regulatory-based best practices
- Adhering to our commitment to Consumer Duty ensuring we put our customers’ needs first and set higher and clearer standards of consumer protection
What we’re looking for:
- A good understanding of the car finance sector in particular Contract Hire
- Ability to work under own initiative with enthusiasm
- Has worked in an organisation where multiple stakeholder management (both internal and external) was common or where exposure to an international as well as domestic business operation existed
- Can produce sound working documentation and presentations, including business case proposals and requirements, briefs and presentations
- Ability to articulate technical issues associated to work area
- Understands legal, regulatory and compliance issues and is familiar with the principles encapsulated within the FCA’s ‘treating customer fairly’ code of conduct
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to manage complex priorities
- It is expected that any candidate is comfortable and confident when dealing with senior-level management and external stakeholders plus dealing with difficult conversations
