Sanremo Italian Restaurant in Bath is seeking an experienced and motivated Head Production Chef to lead our production kitchen. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised chef with strong leadership skills and a passion for authentic Italian cuisine. You will oversee the preparation of high-quality ingredients and products, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and the highest food standards across our operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the production kitchen.
  • Plan and oversee the preparation of fresh pasta, sauces, pizza dough, breads, desserts, and other menu components.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Manage production schedules to meet restaurant demand.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate the production team.
  • Monitor stock levels, place orders, and control food costs and waste.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP regulations.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and management team to develop new recipes and improve production processes.
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef, Production Chef, Sous Chef, or similar leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and large-scale food production.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with stock control, ordering, and cost management.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and HACCP procedures.
  • Passion for quality, consistency, and continuous improvement.
