Sanremo Italian Restaurant in Bath is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Baker / Bread Maker to join our team. We're looking for someone who is passionate about traditional baking and can produce high-quality fresh bread daily to support our authentic Italian menu.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of fresh breads, including Italian breads, focaccia, pizza dough, and other bakery products.
- Mix, knead, proof, and bake dough to consistently high standards.
- Monitor baking times and ensure excellent product quality and presentation.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic bakery and kitchen environment.
- Manage ingredient stock and minimise waste.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure fresh products are available throughout service.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a baker or bread maker.
- Knowledge of bread fermentation, dough preparation, and baking techniques.
- Ability to work early morning shifts and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work well within a team.
- Food hygiene certification is an advantage.
