Our Team:
The Immunology pipeline lead is a key strategic role for the company with high visibility above country working closely with regional and global teams reporting directly into the Country Medical Director/Medical Head Specialty Care UKIE. This hybrid role will require excellent proactive communication skills to develop HCP networks driving implementation of actionable insights into prelaunch plans. This is a highly collaborative role requiring self drive and motivation and the ability to work seamless across the business.

Main responsibilities
- Drive the development of external engagement plans establishing trusted relationships with HCPs, professional bodies and guideline committees
- Provide scientific and technical leadership on scientific activities in relation to the strategic identification, generation and dissemination of pre-clinical, clinical, economic, competitive and environment data
- Proactively communicate key actionable insights and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to shape and co-create the business strategy
- Work collaboratively with external stakeholders to establish educational needs and deliver strategic educational plans
- Build Health Care System\’s relationships and collaboration, partnering and building trust/commitment with key stakeholders
- Develop a tailored HCP communication approach through omnichannel engagement with a focus on evaluating value and impact
- Work to ensure that any unsolicited request for information from healthcare professionals (HCPs) is provided in a timely, unbiased and accurate manner
- Drives a patient-centric approach to development of medical affairs activities with the highest level of scientific integrity
- Work collaboratively with clinical studies team for clinical site identification and phase II/III/VI planning
Roles and Responsibilities Head Office
- Provide proactive strategic leadership co-creating the overall pre-launch strategy plan/s utilising strong business acumen and acting as a key strategic business partner to the organisation
- Lead and Drive Innovative Evidence Generation through deep understanding of stakeholder evidence needs leading to rapid cycle integrated evidence planning and execution through robust data gaps analysis
- Lead and drive implementation science studies ensuing a seamless continuity of evidence generation
- Deep understanding of local data platforms, NHS data lakes and data bases (CPRD, HES)
- Proven track record as a thought knowledge expert
- Proven track record on developing, implementing, executing and evaluating pre-launch/launch plans
- Provide strong collaboration with Regulatory Affairs including co-creating regulatory submission documents utilising your scientific knowledge, understanding of the external environment and requirements of local approval bodies (NICE, SMC AWMSG)
- Work seamlessly with above country colleagues leveraging the UK healthcare ecosystem and scientific and clinical expertise to ensure UK input in EU and global strategic plans
About you
- Qualifications; MBBS (with licence to practice and either MRCP, MRCGP etc and/or advanced degree MD/PhD), BPharm/MPharm (with current registration) or BSc in biological/medical science preferable with an enhanced degree ie PhD). However, those with significant experience pharmaceutical industry medical affairs and/or data mining/analysis or digital omnichannel engagement are encouraged to apply
- Final signatory highly desirable
- Previous experience as medical launch leach and/or pre-launch medical lead is highly desired
- Working knowledge of UK Healthcare System’s and external stakeholder management especially a good understanding of ICS’s
- Good understanding of clinical development and the continuum of data generation and analysis with a focus on RWE and data gaps analysis
- Thorough understanding of educational strategies and educational program delivery and impact analysis
- Thorough understanding of drug approval process and reimbursement (MHRA, NICE, SMC etc)
- Excellent business acumen
- Strong understanding of the ABPI code, ability to act independently with a solutions-oriented and balanced approach to the grey areas
- Ability to rapidly assimilate new data or new therapy areas
- Excellent communication skills including driving challenging discussions
- Proactive enterprise leadership acting as a role model for medical affairs
- Driving talent and people development through a coaching and mentoring approach
- Utilise an ‘agile’ approach to project management
- Languages: Fully Proficient in English
