As Tender Lead within our Vaccines UKIE MCO team, you'll drive strategic tender management across the UK market, where tenders represent approximately 75% of total revenue. This opportunity spans strategic tender shaping, stakeholder engagement, and cross-franchise collaboration across Vaccines, Specialty Care, and General Medicines.
Main Responsibilities
- Shape tender strategy – Develop and execute comprehensive tender approaches aligned with country and global priorities across the vaccines portfolio.
- Drive tender excellence – Lead the vision for tender management in the UK, staying ahead of market changes including policy shifts and evolving procurement models.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration – Inspire and coordinate teams across the organization to deliver impactful tender outcomes.
- Build strategic partnerships – Establish and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders including national health authorities to shape immunization policies and ensure optimal vaccine access.
- Manage the tender process – Oversee the UK tender calendar, prepare and submit documentation, and manage framework agreements from start to finish.
- Ensure compliance and governance – Maintain adherence to all contractual obligations, ethics standards, and safety requirements throughout the tender lifecycle.
- Contribute to leadership strategy – Play an active role in the UK Leadership Team, driving synergies and modeling collaborative leadership behaviors.
About You
- Proven background in Market Access, Public Affairs, Tender Management, or a commercial role within the healthcare sector, with a strong understanding of the UK healthcare system and procurement environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships at a senior level, including engagement with national health authorities or government bodies.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen – able to develop and execute plans, navigate complex environments, and drive results through influence rather than authority.
- Confident communicator and skilled negotiator, comfortable working across diverse teams and building alignment with both internal and external partners.
- A relevant degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, Business Administration, or a related field – or equivalent professional experience.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
