Supports the Sanmina Global Services repair team (Basingstoke) with in-house servicing and repair of a range of customer products including EV Charge Infrastructure, communication infrastructure, auto ID and point of sale. Diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures using established procedures. Performs maintenance, testing and calibration of repaired products. Data entry and administrative tasks within Sanmina’s or our customers designated ERP, DoF and repair management systems. In addition, this position will support the team with light warehouse and material handling duties. This position will support the repair supervisor assigned to the customer accounts and will act as a liaison from the repair operation to the customer facing repair supervisor/program lead.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnosis and repair of a range of customer products ranging from auto ID, point of sale through to IoT and communication products.
- Commissioning of a range of products (Comms, EV chargers, point of sale).
- Booking RMA’s and customer orders into Sanmina’s and its customer repair management systems.
- Data entry of engineer reports, applying fault and fix codes to ERP and parts consumption.
- Picking accessories for customer orders.
- Booking off RMA’s.
- Logging courier consignments for last mile shipping to customer addresses.
- Goods in and out receiving and shipping.
- Material handling and moving inventory in the production area and throughout the warehouse.
- Support leadership team where appropriate to improve processes and drive lean projects to support the repair operation.
Essential Skills:
- HNC in electronic engineering or equivalent.
- A minimum of (1-2) years in a similar data repair technician role/environment desirable.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good knowledge and experience of database systems.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills: Google Workspace (Sheets, Drive, Docs, Slides, Gmail) and light command line skills.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have the ability to multi-task and support areas where workload is heavy.
- Ability to work in a small team environment and assist all within the team in problem solving.
- Ability to work independently and resolve any repair administrative exceptions as they arise.
Desirable:
- Experience in a service environment.
- Oracle ERP knowledge.
- Experience with manual handling devices and forklift trucks.
