We’re looking for an experienced and people-focused Change Manager to help drive successful change across our portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new team and shape how change is delivered, adopted, and sustained, ensuring our initiatives achieve meaningful, measurable impact across the organisation.
About the Role
Sitting within the Portfolio Delivery Office (PDO), you will lead and embed effective change management across major initiatives.
- Develop and drive change management strategies across the portfolio to secure adoption and benefits realisation
- Align change approaches with the Heads of Portfolio and Project Management to ensure integration with delivery priorities
- Act as a bridge between Corporate Communications and project teams to coordinate clear, consistent messaging
- Partner with Project Managers and Sponsors to embed change activities into project plans and governance
- Assess organisational readiness and implement interventions that build resilience and change capacity
- Strengthen project and programme change capability through coaching, guidance, toolkits, and continuous improvement
About You
You are an experienced change professional with a strong focus on organisational impact. You are comfortable working across multiple concurrent pieces of work, supporting leaders and delivery teams to successfully embrace and embed change.
- Experience in change management with a clear focus on organisational impact and measurable adoption
- The ability to manage and support multiple smaller initiatives alongside wider portfolio activity
- Experience embedding change activities into project plans and supporting Project Managers and Sponsors
- Confidence coaching leaders, stakeholders, and PDO colleagues to embrace and deliver change
- Strong understanding of how change integrates with project and programme lifecycles
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels
The Portfolio Delivery Office is a newly formed team created to centralise the work of existing teams in Sanger. Our vision is: To be the trusted partner that connects strategy to execution, enabling Sanger to maximise organisational value and continuously adapt, innovate, and thrive. Bringing together portfolio expertise, change management, project management, and process analysis into one team with connected standards, we enable the delivery of complex change and projects for Sanger.
