We are looking to appoint a highly motivated professional to take on the role of Assistant SENCO, to join our talented and supportive team. You will be a positive and enthusiastic person who loves working with children and helping them to strive for their best. You will be incredibly flexible and able to deal with complexity.

You will be able to communicate effectively with children and adults, have a flexible attitude, good sense of humour and be friendly and approachable. Good time management and the ability to work using your own initiative are essential. Your numeracy and literacy skills will be strong enough to improve children's standards and communication with different stakeholders will be a strength.

In particular, your proficient IT skills will support the use of technology to work efficiently and creatively. You will have good knowledge of SEN paperwork, resources and interventions to support children’s needs. You will be able to work with data and analyse this.

The Assistant SENCO Role works very closely with the Inclusion Lead/ SENCO, Pastoral Support Mentor and Class Teachers to ensure that all pupils have access to high quality learning and support. You will support children who have SEMH challenges and will respond to their needs, ensuring they are safe, ready to learn and can achieve their best. Above all, children will be at the heart of your work.

You must be able to demonstrate that you understand the importance of educating the whole child and you will be committed to ensuring that all children receive an expansive education via the Head, the Heart and the Hand.
