We are seeking to appoint a suitably skilled, part‐time Assistant Caretaker to work alongside the school's site team. The role is to support the Site Manager and Senior Leadership Team by carrying out routine maintenance, minor repairs and general site duties to ensure the school environment remains safe, well‐maintained and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors.

The successful candidate will be self‐motivated, flexible and able to work well as part of a team. They will have good practical skills, strong communication abilities, and a sound understanding of health and safety requirements within public buildings.

This is a permanent contract for 8 hours per week, with flexibility available; scheduled hours can be discussed and agreed at interview. There may also be occasional weekend working, with time off in lieu of weekday hours.

St Georges Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff are expected to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to follow the relevant safeguarding procedures, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) guidance, and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
