Overview
The Howard School is seeking to appoint a member of staff to join our Maths Department. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, talented, and passionate Teacher of Mathematics, to start from January 2026.
We are seeking a Teacher to join our high-achieving Maths Department, recognised as one of the top non-selective schools in Kent and Medway. Our students are motivated, engaged, and demonstrate excellent behaviour, making for a rewarding teaching environment. The Department is well-resourced, supportive, and offers opportunities for additional responsibility. While the core role is within Mathematics, we would welcome applicants with experience in Computing or IT.
Position details
This is a full-time, permanent role, paid based on the STPC Main/Upper Teachers Pay Range, dependant on experience. The school is offering a recruitment incentive of £5,000, which split into the following payments – £2,500 subject to the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, and a further £2,500 to be paid upon one year service. This post would suit an experienced or Early Career Teacher with good prospects for career development.
